Welcome to the Chester Romans American Football Club

The Chester Romans are one of the UK's longest running American Football clubs. Sample Image

Established in 1986, the team has had many highs and lows over the last couple of decades and you are more than welcome to join us during our 2010 season. There are opportunities throughout the club for players, gameday staff, management and definitely opportunities for screaming fans to come along to games to cheer us on!

Enjoy looking around the site and make sure that you take a little visit to the chat forum to talk to some of the team members, coaches and fans that like to spend a little time talking about all levels of football from the Romans all the way to the NFL.

The  Chester Romans play their home games at Chester Rugby Club, Hare Lane, Vicars Cross. Directions and maps can be found here. Enjoy your visit to the official website of the Chester Romans American Football club, one of the friendliest and fun teams in the league.

Regards and best wishes,

The Chester Romans management team and players

The Romans were approached by the father of a young NFL fanatic to see if we could put on something for his son Patrick's birthday.

As we are always up for a challenge, we were delighted to help to make this young man's birthday party special for him and his friends

Coach Smith and the Romans met up with Patrick and his 12 friends at Christleton Sports Centre on the 13th February where they tried on some of the youth kit and were given a run through of the activites for his day.

The boys and the Romans went through a series of warm up drills to get a flavour of what an American Football team goes through and then onto mini versions of drills for the boys to do, such as taking hand-off, catching the ball and running through tackle bags.

For just over an hour the boys competed against the Romans, with the boys coming outon top, at the end all involved were tired but very happy.

As part of this fantastic event for Patrick, the Romans have invited him to be their mascot for the 2010 season opener at home to Redditch Arrows on May 9th.

The Romans were very happy to make Patrick's birthday a very special day and we look forward to welcoming him, his family and friends to the home of the Romans at Chester Rugby Club
